“As watches and clocks have been delyed by an hour, the night arrives earlier than expected. It is another sign that winter is apporaching silently and with it, eventually the snow in Zurich. This painting is from one of those snowfall evenings back in January of 2021. A rusted sky turned Zurich into the mise-en-scene of a film noir as the snowflakes kept covering the city with a dense white coat. While travelling by tram, bus or car was brought to a halt for a few days, other means of transportation covered the floor with identifiable tracks of various snow-sport disciplines championed by the cross-country skiing track of my neighbour's grocery shopping to the #cooppronto supermarket down the road.”
